Weight is the common question when talking about conversions like mine. Therefore; I am attempting to keep a semi-credible accounting of weights.

Took an interesting photo today - thought some of you might be interested in seeing it. Since this is a bit dated, it is important to note that this was with the OEM EFI system.

This is my entire engine (with oil, intake, exhaust, mount, flywheel, prop hub, starter, fuel rails, etc...) sitting on a scale. The scale is showing 250 lbs.
March 12, 2003Aircraft Weight = ~700 lbs
At time of weighing plane contained 6-8 gallons fuel (35-50 lbs) and came in at 738 lbs. A more precise weighing will be conducted prior to flight.June 16, 2002Total Engine Package = 245 lbs
Includes: Intake Manifold, Throttle Body, MAF, Swirl Pot, Oil Pan (w/oil), Alternator, Motor Mount, Dual Fuel Pumps, Ignition Coil (w/Spark Plug Wires), Igniter, Starter, Air Bypass Valve, Prop Hub, Crankshaft Adapter, Flywheel, & Short Exhaust System (no muffler).

Intake Manifold = 3.0 lbs (tubing & flanges, not welded)
Motor Mount = 6.0 lbs (pending final cleanup and paint)

Prop Hub/Flywheel = 9.5 lbs
Starter, Mount, & Bolts = 9.5 lbs
Crankshaft Adapter & Bolts = 4.5 lbs
Alternator = 6.0 lbs
Throttle Body = 2.0 lbs (extra throttle linkage parts removed)
EJ-22 Long Block = 190 lbs
